Mama Doreen’s Cupcake Company have joined Too Good To Go in a bid to reduce food waste, becoming the first eatery in West Yorkshire’s Harrogate to partner with the app.

Well-known (and loved!) for their mouth-watering and impressive selection of cupcakes baked daily in their on-site bakery, the company will now be selling its surplus goods daily via TGTG. Customers will be able to collect an assortment of 4 cakes for £2.90, in a commitment to ensuring that their delicious treats end up in bellies, and not bins.

Justine Hall at Mama Doreen’s said: ‘At Mama Doreen’s, we pride ourselves on the love and care we put into each expertly-prepared cupcake, and it pains us to see them occasionally go unsold. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Too Good To Go to ensure our specialist cupcakes end up where they belong – with our customers. As the first cafe in Harrogate to join Too Good To Go’s anti-food waste movement, we hope to set a precedent that other eateries in the area can follow so that collectively, we can make a positive drive for change.’

Well.. Harrogate folks – what are you waiting for!? Place your order via the app and collect at the designated pick-up time to join Mama D’s in their mission to reduce waste.

Too Good To Go is available to download on the iOS and Android app stores, with over 150 restaurants live across Yorkshire, Brighton, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
