Crussh, Fit Food & Juice Bars goes live on Too Good To Go across London

Following a successful trial at three stores, Crussh Fit Food & Juice Bars has joined up company-wide with Too Good To Go and committed its full list of branches to the war on waste.

As of Thursday 27th October, Crussh will be making its daily surplus food available for purchase at a huge discount via the innovative anti-food waste app in its 24 high street branches across London. Covering nearly the full breadth of the city, users will now be able to pick up fresh, healthy Crussh products from Canary Wharf to Soho in the knowledge that they are helping the chain to reduce their edible food waste.

Chris Wilson, Co-Founder of TGTG UK said: “This is a really exciting announcement for us here at Too Good To Go HQ. Crussh have built up an extremely successful brand over the years with their healthy food-to-go, and to have all 24 of theirhigh-street branches dedicated to reducing waste is a really promising step from such a popular high-street food retailer. Not to mention their food is delicious and how great this is for our waste-conscious Too Good To Go customers!”

This company-wide roll out is the first of its kind for Too Good To Go, marking a significant achievement in the short history of the app, whose aim is to spark a desperately needed reduction in the 600,000 tonnes of edible food wasted in the hospitality industry each year.

“We are delighted to roll out our partnership with Too Good To Go, it’s a great way of giving otherwise unsold food to people who really want it. Their environmental and sustainability goals resonate with us and we are pleased to be able to commit to reducing food waste,” Shane Kavanagh, CEO of Crussh.

The app, which is available for free download through Apple and Android app stores, acts as a link between eateries with excess food and customers who can place orders to collect it at a discounted price. Restaurants, portions available and prices are listed on the app and the customer then makes an order, presents a receipt at the designated pick up time and fills an eco-friendly ‘Too Good To Go’ biodegradable takeaway box with the food on offer. Customers can now purchase portions of food from Crussh at various times – location dependant – for just £2.50.
